Levels of Care
The Care You Need – For as Long as You Need It
At Kentmere Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing, we understand that most of our residents require skilled nursing care associated with their rehabilitation stay. This is why we offer a wide array of services to meet your short-term rehabilitation or long-term care needs.
Our 24-hour skilled nursing coverage meets the unique needs of each individual as we strive to offer the highest quality of care in Delaware. With a nursing-to-patient ratio that regularly exceeds state requirements, we work to ensure that residents receive the personalized care they deserve.
Rehabilitation
Kentmere is dedicated to being Wilmington’s premier in-patient sub-acute rehabilitation provider. Our rehabilitation team has more than 100 years of combined experience and works to establish individual short- and long-term goals for each resident’s rehabilitation needs. Comprised of professionals in the areas of physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation, our team offers the latest in therapy programming, modalities, equipment and support six days a week: the average patient receives 3-4 hours/day of therapy as needed.
Long-Term Care
Our skilled and dedicated staff understands that each resident requires a different level of care. That’s why Kentmere’s long-term care team gives you the help you need so you can continue to do the things you love. Our specially trained professionals will assist with your daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, eating, medication management and more.
Dementia Care
Our team – from our administrators to housekeeping staff – is trained in the Montessori approach to dementia and aging, which supports improving the quality of life for seniors with Alzheimer’s or other dementia by promoting the principles of dignity, meaningful engagement and independence throughout life.
